Dr. Brown is a 1986 graduate, Cum Laude, from Gannon University, located in Erie, PA. He continued his education at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Athens OH where he graduated first of his class, Magna Cum Laude and on the Deans List. Following his graduation in 1990, he began his internship at Richmond Heights General Hospital, Richmond Heights, OH. After his internship, he began his anesthesia training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH. At the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, he completed his Anesthesia Residency as well as a Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Critical Care Fellowship.  His diverse medical background includes Anesthesiologist, Critical Care Intensivist, and prior Emergency Room Physician. During his time with American Anesthesiology, he returned to business school to receive his Physician Executive Masters in Business Administration from Auburn University, Auburn, AL. He has served AA of VA in roles of President, Secretary and Treasurer, and Director of Critical Care Services. He is a Diplomat, National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, Diplomat, American Board of Anesthesiology, and is certified with Special Qualifications in Critical Care Medicine from the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians.
